With many many thanks for the previous responses, I am back with one
more Android query. sometimes, when I press the volume button up or
down, it says ringtone volume set to 60% or 70%. mostly, the same
volume button increases or decreases media volume of the phone
Yes, it is not possible to access the notifications without scrolling
down the notification area.

I have finally got my hands on two mobile phones both running Android
Jelly Bean 4.1.2. The mobile phones are Samsung Galazy S2 and TCL
J320-D. Please do not say this time that I need a newer version, but
do tell me if any of them especially Samsung Galaxy S2 can get any
kind of update.
