So, please explain to me this priority mode.
I tried to fiddle with it, but am confused amongst my priorities, smile.
I cannot even invoke it reliably.

We can't do much except reporting it which we have already done.
As per my knowledge, Google has tried to emulate IOS by giving
priority mode instead of silent.
To keep the ball roling, we will either have to learn the so- called
new method or install 3rd party apps.
Though partially, I agree with
Oh dear, why do I have to install external programmes and widgets for even the
basic functionalities of the phone!
There has to be a better way of doing this.
If not, this bug has to be fixed in the next version of android, call it samosa!
