I've paired my new phone moto E with my laptop but the phone is not
visible in computer folder as mentioned by you. although the same is
true in case of Nokia E63 when connected using Nokia Ovi Suite.
perhaps we need some application like Nokia Ovi Suite.

do try to connect from windows blootooth file transfer. you can get
access of the same by searching on start menu.
I've done the same. and am getting the my phone's blootooth icon in my
