FWIW..Looks like you are trying to build from the ports collection. I have several FreeBSD 3.3, 3.2 & 3.1 boxes and I built every modperl/apache from sources without a problem. As good as the FreeBSD ports are, I highly reccomend getting the sources and compiling from scratch. The Apache and ModP
