I've configured my test server on a fedora x86_64 machine and now I'm able
to connect to it using for example DbVisualizer and the monetdb jdbc driver
from the net, also run successfully the C API example code locally.

to be done carefully ...
I'm interested in the C API because I feel much confident with C but if
this can cause troubles I'll fall back to java and jdbc.

These are the reasons I'm asking for C API.

Hi all,
want to try monetdb C API.
I've read the examples including Mapi.h from mapilib directory. I do not
find any mapilib dir. On windows Mapi.h is in the lib dir under monetdb
root. On linux Mapi.h is in /usr/include/monetdb. Are the examples updated
with the last monetdb distribution?
