is not a stupid thing. Doing 4x in a row the same syscall on the same
file is stupid. I don't think we need caching : we just need to do the
things as many times as necessary.

Hi,
monotone log's date timezone seems to be UTC. This is not easy to read
but UTC may be useful.
Why not display the date in local timezone and have --utc switch to
display dates in UTC. In both case, the timezone may be displayed in the
date field.

here's a possible fix for this bug : i've added ticker::id to store the
unique identifier of each ticker. using N_() then _() would be another
solution, but i think it would be harmful to do so. That's why i stored
id and name seperately.
::vectorticker* and check for value, not
value-name. The map was a hack because somebody was too lazy too write
an operator / == for ticker. Easy fix i think.
