We currently have for auction on eBay a truly unique 2001: A Space Odyssey
poster with different Eastern European-style artwork.
We were not able to find this poster available for sale anywhere else and it
would make a great addition to any serious collector's movie poster collection.
Fellow MoPoers:
I have another nice selection of vintage posters and oriiginal 8x10 photos up
for auction this week on E-Bay. Below are just a few of the items. Just click

Now, Toochis and Channing, I have to totally disagree!!!
Whereas LAST year's Oscar broadcast was indeed the WORST I've ever seen, I felt
that all those kinks were worked out and that THIS one was one of the BEST
certainly the best in this era.
And the Academy had the grace this year to

Heritage is once again offering an incredible selection of vintage original
posters, lobby cards, photos, and more! Please come take a look at all the
great items you could get at very reasonable prices this week. The 447 lots in
this week's auction will end Sunday, March 6th at 10PM CT.
Worst show ever??? I disagree. I thought the show was pretty good.
Mounting this telecast is somewhat like maneuvering the Spruce Goose. That
they can
get it done at all, given how immense it is, is impressive.
And worst show ever? Not even close. I guess you guys don't remember Rob Lowe

It was a very boring show. The only way I got through it was with my
DVR. I began watching the show about one hour into the actual live
broadcast and I hit fast forward through all the commercials and most of
the acceptance speeches. I think I watched the entire show in less than
2 hours. For me
In a rather telling comment from Franco himself, in one of Franco's
self made videos he posted, just prior to walking out on stage at the
start of the Oscars, the sound man asks him, Just wired you for
sound. This is it. Any last words for your fans before you go out?

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I was bored stiff. I changed
channels halfway through and then went back at the end to see which won Best
Picture (King's Speech was my choice and I enjoyed the movie very much). But
as they say, that's what makes horse racing.

I recently came across my personal collection of auction catalogs which I
had carefully assembled over a 20 year period. I had at one time thought
about using them to write a history of the movie poster hobby, but I became
too busy and the project was shelved. When I came across them in a remote
