I just received mine -- I guess I got lucky. No damage, not a scratch on
the cardboard tube or the posters. But it was definitely was luck in
that the rolled posters were free to slide back and forth inside of the
tube. If it had been subjected to very much banging around, there would
have been some edge damage. But in my case there was not, even though it
went cross-country.
Perhaps Marci was getting feedback by the time she shipped mine on Feb
4th. It was shipped Priority Mail and got here in 4 business days (my
wife just forgot to check the PO box for the last two days... feh... I
didn't think to ask her since she *always* checks it everyday... except
when I'm expecting something, apparently...).
The cardboard tube itself was not what I'd call "flimsy" -- but it
certainly wasn't as thick as many others are. On the other hand, it was
solid enough and I've received posters from a lot of other reputable
dealers in tubes of similar thickness. Perhaps she had upgraded the tube
by the time she shipped to me.
Even so, she still screwed up. I paid an extra $15 for insurance and
there was NO insurance sticker on the tube. If the package had been lost
or damaged, that would have become a *major* problem. That's just
sloppy. Somebody pays more than actual cost for insurance and then you
don't insure the package anyway -- I am going to insist on my $15
insurance payment back.
It's a good thing Marci sold these direct, or she would obviously be
looking at her perfect feedback rating on Ebay going down the dumper.
I just got lucky. But, yes, the poster is in superb shape and absolutely
authentic as far as I can tell.

Just received my copy. Similar damage to what Phillip described - left
edge with a few newly formed dents/small tears that were clearly the
result of packing. Either where the end padding had been forced in, or
where it wasn't sufficient to stop the poster shifting in
transit. Nothing major, but a little frustrating, as it
had obviously started off in better condition. On the plus side, the
tube arrived in perfect condition and the delivery was fast, which
isn't bad considering I'm in England. Would agree with
Channing's comment about qualified dealers where expensive items are
concerned, but wasn't it established a couple of weeks ago that these
are pretty well-known sellers who have been around since the 70s?

I received poster. Poster was rolled and may well have been
mint before being packaged, but it was rolled when placed into
tube. Once unrolled, left side of poster was crinkled and damaged,
as if it was forced into bottom of tube...and lame tube at that.
