Re: [MOPO] FW: LAMP newsletter

2011-11-17 Thread allen day
Howdy Ed,

Thanks much for the newsletter link, especially, the link involving the
inimitable Kirby.

Somehow, I always imagined a deep Texas southern drawl, and a rustic, bucolic
appearance with large bull horns in the background.

Hi All,
Sue has just put the LAMP newsletter for November online. It is smaller this
month, but there are a couple of things that need announcing to the industry.

Sue has trouble trying to work with a fractured wrist, but hopefully, we’ll
have everything back to normal (if there is such a thing) next month.

ALSO, don’t forget, we have now put our LAMP Newsletter Archive online covering
the past 10 years.

Best,

2011-11-17 Thread Richard Evans

It's Kirby McDaniel week.

Spoken to Kirby many times over the last 15 or so years, so I wasn't
expecting a ten gallon hat, but glad to finally be able to put a face
to him.

Looking good.

Face fits, and surely the most urbane man in the state of Texas.

Bet his revolver has a pearl handle.

2011-11-17 Thread Neil Jaworski
Hey all, i really enjoyed that Kirby video.  And I'm glad it was Saint Joan in
the b/g and not bullhorns!

It's very true that it's about the thrill of the chase as much as the actual
acquisition.

I also enjoyed the Heritage promo video and its description of The Most
Dangerous Game's great picture of the evil Zaroff on the left-hand side.

Theleft-hand side?  Oops.

Hopefully its not a dvd that's been incorrectly listed.
