[MORPHMET] combining 3D datasets

2015-02-07 Thread Bryan McLean
Hi all, I have 3D landmark data from two different views (lateral and ventral) of some rodent skulls. I would like to append these data, based on the 4 landmarks they have in common. Could someone give me leads on the best software for doing this kind of manipulation? Thank you- -Bryan --

[MORPHMET] Testing Group Mean Differences, Nonparametric Framework

2015-02-07 Thread Eugenia Leone Gold
Hi everyone, I am trying to run a non-parametric test for group mean differences using PC scores and I can’t seem to find a function to do that. I am using PC scores instead of Procrustes Coordinates so as to have fewer variables than specimens. Does anyone know of a function that can do this?

[MORPHMET] 3D landmark registration

Hi all, I have 3D landmark data collected from 2 different views (lateral, ventral) of some rodent skulls. I would like to tie these together, based on the 4 landmarks the two datasets have in common. What is the best program for this type of data manipulation? Thanks- -Bryan -- MORPHMET

The documentation shows how to do this using batch files and Morpheus et al. Both are available here: http://morphlab.sc.fsu.edu/software.html -ds On 2/6/15 7:00 PM, Bryan McLean wrote: Hi all, I have 3D landmark data from two different views (lateral and ventral) of some rodent skulls. I

[MORPHMET] MANOVA and shape data

2015-02-07 Thread Patrick Arnold
Dear morphometrics, I have two questions about applying MANOVA on shape data: 1. MANOVA assumes the data to be normal distributed. What is the best way to test normal distribution of multivariate shape data? And what is the best (free) software for this issue (is this embedded in PAST)?
