Maybe I misunderstand what you all are writing about, but there is a

would be so crazy...seems that there are a whole bunch of teachers who know
the promise of Whole Language pedagogy ...and are ready to defend it's
reputation and educate others of the misinformation that brought about

BOOKS that have rhyme, repetition, and predictability. I would introduce the
books first as read alouds to the class and then let the children choose
