The International Maritime Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations based in London, has been successfully using machine translation for a number of years. We are looking for someone to help us expand and improve our use of both statistical and neural machine translation, and the deployment to final users.
Applicants should have experience with Moses and, preferably, neural machine translation (we use Marian/Amun). Knowledge of Linux is a prerequisite. You will also be working with translators and their data, therefore, experience or willingness to work with Windows applications is also necessary. We are a small team so you should be a self-starter who can pitch in with your technical skills to get the job done. In return, we offer a challenging project working in a relaxed office environment in Central London opposite the Houses of Parliament and competitive tax free salary. The position is for approximately 3 months, leading to potential permanent position, starting as soon as possible.
