A snowy owl is currently present in downtown Cotton (perched on a light in
the ICO station parking lot). Not sure if this is the same individual present
in Melrude (about 8 miles to the NE as the owl flies)

There was a female/immature Black Scoter on Lake Waconia, Carver county this
afternoon.
I observed the scoter from 3:00 - 3:30 from Lake Waconia Regional Park, just
east of Waconia. The bird was fairly close to shore (visible in binoculars,
