Another day, more pretty good results. Starting at dawn along the
river in the thick fog at Rapids Lake MVNWR, I was able to find 9
warbler species. None except Yellowthroat and Redstart were numerous,
and even they weren't that numerous. Warbler count went as follows: 2
Chestnut-sided, 2
This morning we had 6 wild turkeys in our tiny Mpls back yard. Hen and 5
young. They were eating the spilled birdseed and chokecherries off the bushes.
Our house is just west of 35W, N of 62Crosstown,E of Lyndale Ave, and S of
M'haha Creek. This little pocket gets great spring and fall

A lady whom I got interested in feeding birds, uses a chain to hang her
hummingbird feeder from a tree. Her daughter told me today that her mother has
no trouble with ants in her feeder.

Starting in the morning fog at Park Point Recreation Area, I slowly
meandered my way about the small woodlots and clumps of habitat. The
area was generally quite active, especially in the vicinity of the

daughter told me she has no trouble with ants in her feeder.
I am going to try this to see if the ants do not invade my feeder.
An immature Little Blue Heron was seen by my MBW group early this
evening at the Morris sewage ponds in Stevens Co. It was first seen in
flight as it circled over the NE pond, but unfortunately after a
minute or so it gradually gained altitude and flew off and out of
sight towards the
