I know several folks have tried to find this bird, but it has been
elusive. Lee Ann Landstrom heard it again at 8 AM this morning. It does
not call constantly, but it does call. She heard it between 27th Street
and 26th Street on Xenwood Ave South. I think I misspelled Xenwood in
my last posting,
Bob Williams and I just found a Buff-breasted Sandpiper at the Walker
sewage ponds. The bird is foraging on the rocks along with six other
shorebird species in the southeast corner of the northwest pond.

Diane and I followed up on Craig Mandel's report of hearing Common
Gallinules in Wabasha County at the Richard Dorer Pools along Hwy 74 (2 mi
SW of Hwy 61 at blue sign with 14974). We arrived about noon today (Wed)
and were quickly able to spot two adults and nine little babies in the open
water
