Five of us birded Sax-Zim Bog this morning as part of a Friends of Sax-Zim Bog
field trip.
Highlights:
1st N Shrike of the year
2 Sharp-tailed Grouse along Stone Lake Rd
25 Lapland Longspurs
4 Horned Lark
Rusty Blackbird
Black-billed Magpie on McDavitt
2 Ruffed Grouse
4 Red-tailed Hawks
2 White-crowned Sparrows
Moose tracks along Stone Lake Rd
...and maybe most amazing, over 200 Woolly Bear Caterpillars crossing Stone
Lake Rd (and this has been going on for weeks!)
