At least 1 Common Gallinule continued at Sherburne Refuge today (5/25). 2-3
have been present since at least May 8th. The Gallinule is located in Big
Bluestem pool which is 2.5 miles along the wildlife drive and is relatively
easy to see once it begins to wander between the reeds.

Currently watc
Currently watching a pair of Black-necked Stilts at the Herman sewage ponds in
southwest Grant County. The north pond is drawn down and is hosting a nice
variety of shorebirds and ducks in addition to the stilts. The stilt pair
stuck to the south end of this pond which made for easy viewing.
Yesterday I heard one PROTHONOTARY WARBLER and three HOODED WARBLERS
singing at Afton State Park (Washington County). The Hooded Warblers are
in the same place as last year: on the bluff facing the river near the
parking lot at the end of the park road. The Prothonotary Warbler was also
