The Blackpoll has elliptical migration routes. It can fly 80 hours non-stop
for 2000 miles to reach S America. It and COWA are the only N American
warblers to winter in the Amazon basin. It is double brooded which should

Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery and the Cedar Creek Ecosystem
Science Reserve (CCESR) are offering tours of red-headed woodpeckers
and other prairie birds on Saturday, June 20th from 9:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. at CCESR near East Bethel, MN. No fees or reservat

Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery and the Cedar Creek Ecosystem
Science Reserve (CCESR) are offering RHWO and other prairie bird
tours Saturday, June 20th from 9:a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at CCESR, near
East Bethel, MN. This is an area normally not open to the public
Another reference point is a large rock pile by the fence along the W side of
the road. Use care when walking though this area, however, since yesterday I
chanced upon a female Chestnut-collared on a nest with 4 eggs hidden in the
grass. This could be the only nest of this species in MN this yea
Curt Rawn and I refound the Chestnut-Collared Longspur at Felton Prairie.
It's about 2 1/2 miles north of 26 straight east of a large puddle in the
road

I have had a white winged dove in my yard for several days now. What a

The Wago Nature Center staff and Coon Rapids Dam naturalist are conducting
an Anoka County Birding Big Year. It is going quite well, but we have failed
to locate any Dickcissels and Bobolinlks. If anyone can provide clues as
where these species can be seen this year in Anoka County we would be
appr
