At the top of a tall spruce tree in front of Fridley Middle School. This is just west of the intersection of 61st Ave. and W. Moore Lake Dr, and across the street from Fridley High School. The bird was very cooperative and stayed the 10 minutes I was there. This was around 1:00 p.m. Cole

There were at least three singing Henslow’s Sparrows today at Afton State Park in Washington County. They were in the large field at the northern end of the park south of 50th Street. This seems to be a reliable spot for them, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they nested here. Cole Foster
