Stopped in at the downtown apartment in Bemidji for a few hours
today. When we got out of the car at 6:45 PM the first thing I heard
was the twittering of Chimney Swifts overhead! Hope they find enough
to eat...

the Twin Cities, please let me know, I am interested in filming the
spectacle and posting it to the MOU gallery. I will also collect such
spots and submit them for consideration as important bird areas

Tonight, Thursday April 26th the Chimney Swifts returned to downtown
Bemidji in Beltrami county. I think the ice went off the lake today.
The maple syrup is done and I saw my first Hepatica blooming. Earlier
in the day, at our farm south of Bagley in Clearwater county, our first
White-throated
No, I didn't see any yet. In fact, I found they are tracking late this
year. I found a wonderful website dedicated to this wonderful bird and
it maps their sightings. The URL is:
