Erik Collins and I are looking at 3 Black Scoters on Pigs-Eye Lake in
southern Ramsey County. We’re looking from the point on the southeast side
of the lake accessed from the end of Red Rock Rd. Generally there is a lot
of truck traffic on this road but right now not so much.

This morning there were 2 Black Scoters on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.
They were close together and were seen at rest, diving, and flying. The
Long-tailed Duck was still present and the weather conditions were again
ideal to scope these birds out in the middle of the lake.

readily identifiable. Scope is mandatory.
