My husband just saw a Great Gray a few hundred yards north of the Strand, Lester River Road intersection in Lakewood Twp near Duluth. It was sitting on a snowbank and a woman was taking a picture of it. There is a large field near this area so it may be hunting around the edges. Molly

Hi folks, A friend and I spotted a GREAT GRAY OWL in Duluth at about 7:30pm today. It was originally spotted on the roadway, then it flew into a roadside tree, gulped down some prey and then flew off into the woods. As we were leaving the area, we spotted it perched again in the trees

Last evening, January 27th, at dusk a Great Gray Owl was hunting in our yard on the Old North Shore Rd., Duluth Township. It flew from perch to perch from 5:15 to 5:30. However, it was not in evidence this morning. Both Mike Hendrickson and Debbie Waters have reported a Great Gray Owl
