Does anyone have a picture of the Long-tailed Jaeger from a number of years ago
at Agassiz?
My son, Nate, took pictures, but they’re on hard drives in his garage, deeply
stored.
I will be teaming the picture(s) with a poem for short social media release.

Long-tailed jaeger continues today (Sunday).
If it isn’t on the water when you get there, you may have to wait for it to
come back as it seems to be out stretching its wings more. Yesterday morning it
disappeared behind the landfill for ten minutes or so and then came back.

essentially all the gulls had disappeared to the south; the jaeger gingerly
soared in that direction and had not returned by 6:45 (when I soared home to
the south).
I think I read or heard that it had also flown to the south

I saw the Long-tailed Jaeger at the same location that was posted earlier,
along 360th Ave NW on a spot of gravel between two flooded spots on the
road. To get there, take MN 89 off MN 11 to CR 118 about 6 miles north of MN
11. Follow 118 straight east until the road turns straight south. ( 118
I birdwatched at Wisconsin Point yesterday morning, and got to see that
gorgeous LONG-TAILED JAEGER still zipping around, pestering the Ring-billed
Gulls.

This morning I birdwatched from just before sunrise until about 9:00am at
Wisconsin Point (lot 1). I observed an immature Bald Eagle trying to
chase/pursue a distant jaeger, and at times this jaeger turned and seemed to
pursue the Bald Eagle briefly. What a unique sight to see. Also, my good
