Birders,
Spring is coming soon! With it will be all the returning migrants. And
there is a great place to see them along with some great folks to go
birding with. Seasoned guides will lead the tours around the many wetlands
and prairies in Lac qui Parle and southern Big Stone counties. Gathering
for meals is included.

So check your calendars now! The 38th annual MOU Affiliated Salt Lake
Weekend will be held Saturday, April 27th in Southwestern Minnesota. This
great event is named for the alkaline lake straddling the Minnesota / South
Dakota border known as Salt Lake, in Lac qui Parle County. Started by
Goodman Larson and now coordinated by Goody's son, Ken, this well run event
is one of the highlights of spring.

Attendees are sure to see lots of ducks, geese, shorebirds and passerines.
Well over 100 species are tallied for the weekend each year. A surprise or
two is to be expected, one of which may be the weather. So prepare in
Minnesota fashion.

All are invited to come back or try this birding adventure. Please check
out the special MOU website page we have for this event:
