John Hockema just called to report that he and Andy Nyhus are looking at about 2,000 shorebirds on the mudflats of Minnesota Lake in northern Faribault County. He mentioned at least nine species present (but probably more) highlighted by four American Avocets. They were viewing the lake from the park in town on the northeast side of the lake.
