The following species were first detected on 5/12/21 or 5/13/21 at Roseau River 
WMA:

--Least flycatcher
--Wood thrush
--Yellow-throated vireo
--Tennessee warbler
--American redstart
--Ovenbird
--Mourning warbler
--Rose-breasted grosbeak
--American tree sparrow
--Le Conte's sparrow
--White-crowned sparrow
--Northern Oriole


       There are a great number of chipping sparrows, Harris sparrows, 
white-throated sparrows, and white-crowned sparrows in the aspen forest 
understory. In places, it seems as though the forest floor is crawling with 
these species!
