The first snow of the winter blanketed the Sax-Zim Bog on Monday...and the 
birds were very active.


12 Sharp-tailed Grouse feeding in 2 large aspens about 1.5 mi N of CR52/Arkola 
on CR7 (9am)


126 Snow Buntings in 8 different flocks scattered about.


1 Northern Goshawk hunting (perched) along Admiral Road near powerline crossing


3 Rough-legged Hawks including a rare "tame" bird that allowed close observation


1 Boreal Chickadee near site of Admiral Road feeding station


Also...Gray Jays, Am. Tree Sparrows, many Juncos, 1 Am. Robin, Red-tailed Hawk
