Hello birders, Out before the raindrops today I was in Scott county - New Market/Elko about 12:15pm and saw a EUCD in the downtown area. I got a very good look at it flying and on the ground for a few moments before it took off to I don't know where. I didn't realize til now how good a bird that is for Scott County.
This appears to be a 1st county record. I was assuming it was a wild bird, although the habitat was not great for it as it's typically found in Minnesota (no grain elevators nearby) although I have found them in suburban neighborhoods in Pierre, SD and all over in Arizona & Florida. Thoughts? Any one want to try to refind it? -- Sincerely, Jim Ryan Saint Paul's Westside ---- One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between Man and Nature shall not be broken. -* Leo Tolstoy* A well governed appetite is the greater part of liberty. - *Lucius Annaeus Seneca* ---- ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
