Two Buff-breasted Sandpipers and one Sanderling at the Wells Sewage Ponds
in Faribault County. Both were on the south side of the southernmost cell,
Buff-breasted Sandpipers on the grass, Sanderling on the rip-rap. A few
other shorbs also present, plus many Black Terns, Franklins Gulls, Eared
Grebes. Ponds can't be missed west of Wells on 109.
Earlier at Freeborn Lake (Freeborn County) there were two Ruddy Turnstones
amidst the hundreds of other shorebirds.
No sign of the previously reported Ruff, but it could easily be present,
hundreds of birds are out of scope range in the south basin.
