One nice male SNOWY OWL north of 690 St, between 120th and 130th St.
It was in an unplowed corn stubble field.
Seen about 4:00 PM.
The light was perfect, near sundown.

At intersection of 700 St and 150 Ave; NE corner in plowed field with about
200+ Snow Buntings.

As of 7:30 this evening there was still one spotted near the corner of 690th
and 130th. Looked to be a female.

Just before 9 AM this morning a fairly dark snowy owl was seen sitting
along a fence line north of 690th St. 1/2 mile east of 140th Ave. The owl
flew into the section south of 690th but was not relocated.

I've been haunting 700th St. for weeks hoping to put Snowy Owl bookends on 2012
(Jan. 6 and Dec. ?) but to no avail.
This morning at 8:30 I found one owl west of 110th Ave. on 700th St. initially
on a utility pole then flying south alighting in the field. Locating the bird
sitting in the
Initially found by Ken Vail on January 10. This is the third report of this
bird for January 16. Found at 4:00 pm on County Rd. 4 - ½ mile east of
Count Rd. 3. First seen landing on power pole on north side of Co. 4
(second pole E of drainage ditch bridge) as I was approaching the bridge.
