A beautiful weekend spent exploring the Whitewater WMA for ramps, morels, and
warblers. While we had great success on the first two, warblers were strangely
scarce. Along the North Fork of the Whitewater, we only observed one blue wing
warbler, one black throated green, two yellows, a few palm warblers, and
numerous yellow rumps. Other birds of note include pileated woodpecker, eastern
phoebe, and quite a few eastern towhees.
