No sightings, just wanted to pass along this event information: This year is the 3rd student-led Annual Research Spotlight Fundraiser at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, which features presentations of graduate student research, allows students to network with conservation professionals, and helps raise important funds which directly enable students to travel to present their research at conferences. Travel costs for conferences and professional meetings can be a sometimes prohibitive burden for students. Every dollar raised from this event enables students to participate in these meetings, presenting their own important work. The event is free to attend with dinner provided, but donations are welcome. I think this is an event that members of the Minnesota Ornithologists Union might be interested in. MOU members have attended the event in the past and it always seems like a mutually beneficial experience for MOU members and students.
We hope that you are able to attend! Please RSVP using the link below by April 1. If you are unable to attend but would still like to contribute, there is a donation link on the RSVP form. Please forward this invitation below to anyone you feel would be interested in the event. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IzrMOi6kzhG61ZqiAcYl5At7YSj_vHFe5AKrVShmYf0/viewform?c=0&w=1&usp=mail_form_link If you have questions about the event please feel free to email Brittney Yohannes at lars4...@umn.edu.
