This afternoon just after 1:30 I saw 5 Snowy Owls in Polk County along about a 6-mile stretch of Highway 32 starting just south of Highway 2. The owls were sitting on the tops of tall trees overlooking the grasslands to the west of Highway 32. I'm guessing if one were to explore the back roads in that area that a lot more owls could be found. Also in the area were several ravens doing their acrobatic flights. I also saw a Black-billed Magpie. Mark Otnes Fargo ND
