The upper Midwest Sandhill Crane Count is this Saturday at first light. If
you are interested, let me know and I can get you more details and/or put
you in touch with a county count coordinator. It helps, if you already know
a location where cranes nested last year or have settled in this year. I
This year's Annual Midwest Crane Count will take place this Saturday (4/13)
from 5:30 to 7:30 am. This allows the counter to be on site when the pair
greets each other at dawn. I have one or two slots to fill to cover Dakota
Co. and would welcome someone to ride along with me to keep me awake.
