I wanted to say thanks for your input over the last week or so.
I have
finally gotten my re-encoding code functional (not pretty, but
functional). For anyone who is interested, the program is a shoutcast
stream input which is designed to use MySQL (later ODBC) as the playlist
source (so that a website can introduce requests,voting). The project is
online at http://sqlshout.sourceforge.net/.
Alexander, you tip about libmad was VERY appreciated, and I have
to
agree that the encoder API for LAME is MUCH easier than the decoder API.
Also, Alexander, I would like to add your name to the credits on the
software since you helped me quite a bit. Let me know if that is okay by
you.
