Hi Ehsan,

Kx-Ky band structure for given frequency is known as wavevector diagram
(Eigenfrequency contours). Yes MPB is powerful in calculating
eigenfrequency contours. For practice, one can refer photonic crystal
molding the flow of light book (E-copy is available); chapter-10, page
no-225.

The control scheme (ctl file) to compute eigenfrequency contours for 2-D
square lattice photonic crystal is available in older threads. The control
scheme for triangular lattice photonic crystal is done through solving
inverse problem using k-search function. This code also available in older
threads. So basically kx-ky band structure can be done using MPB.
