Hi list,
Here is what i get from the command line after i set the log level to '
*verbose*' on Windows 7:
*$ ./mpd.exe ./mpd.conf*
path: SetFSCharset: fs charset is: cp936
libsamplerate: libsamplerate converter 'Fastest Sinc Interpolator'
opus: libopus 1.1
db: reading DB
output: No 'audio_output' defined in config file
output: Attempt to detect audio output device
output: Attempting to detect a winmm audio device
output: Successfully detected a winmm audio device
curl: version 7.37.1
And below is what i get from the mpc client:
*$ mpc ls*
error: Timeout
*$ mpc play*
error: Timeout
And the log file is *empty*.
The database file state file stick file is polluted with normal
content. (Attached)
I would appreciated for any comments.
Thanks,
Gui

Dear list,
I compiled MPD 0.18.10 for *Windows *follow this repo:
https://bitbucket.org/dkrjuchkov/mpd-build
After i start the MPD 0.18.10 binary on Windows 7, it can play audio
files without problem, but can not be controlled by mpc or any other
clients.
(You may ask how i do that without clients control? I used the old but
official MPD 0.17.4 windows binary to play audio file first, then i stop
the MPD service manually, then i start the NEW compiled 0.18.10 MPD in the
command line, the sound comes out with no problem.)
I am sure that MPD was runing on the default 6600 port.
(By running: *netstat -ano|findstr 6600* in the command line to check
the process id)
All the commands sent from *mpc* or other clients will prompt: *error:
Timeout*.
How can i get rid of this?
Please help, i really like MPD.
Thanks in advance.
