I am sending along the e-mail I sent to the city council so folks can know what it was that Barbara Johnson received from me and my request for a response.

To The City Council:

I want to interview (and film) city council members, county commissioners, the Mayor the morning of the campout and the days after. My preference is that everyone (or their representative) participate in this campout. It is a "campout of conscience" i.e. let those of us who are housed take steps to support those without housing via actions such as campouts, speak outs, advocating, ....
The filming will be part of a documentary (independently produced by myself) that asks local activists, politicians, organizers, etc. their position on repealing the present anti-camping ordinances in the City of Mpls.
The filmed interviews will be conducted by me (Margaret Hastings) and are not designed to suprise confuse or embarrass anyone ... the questions are straightforward.
       1. Do you support revocation of the City's no camping orindances? If no, why? If yes, why?
       2. Do you believe these ordinances violate the civil rights of homeless people? If yes, why,..If no..why?
       3. Do you believe that homelessness is a crisis needing immediate intervention and attention?
                    Sincerely,
                           Margaret Hastings --Mpls....
