I would like to correct some of the information that

I did vote in favor of the obelisk at the official
public meeting which was held at the Minneapolis
Institute of Arts by the Park Board. I examined all of

I have to disagree with the posters that feel that
Barb Johnson's bid for City Council President somehow

The City Council President is a very powerful position

I received a report that list both project-based and
tenant-based Section 8 housing in the city by ward.
Project based means a building or property is a
section 8 property and is either owned by a private
owner or MPHA. Tenant-based means the renter has a

attention tonight at the Whittier Alliance Annual
Meeting. Many found it interesting to say the least
that the commission would recommend that such a small
fraction of the neighborhood be chopped out and placed
in another political ward.

I think the city supports affordable housing projects
just fine as long as they are clustered into the
chosen neighborhoods in the city where they have
been concentrated for 30 years. Neighborhoods like
Whittier, Phillips, Stevens Square, Elliot Park,
Central, Powderhorn Park and a handful of
One block down from Intermedia Arts is Minnapolis' VFW
Post. The Auxiliary has asked help in publicizing this
benefit to be held on Sat., April 13.
James Ballentine VFW Auxiliary's Spring Luncheon for
cancer aid and research will be held on Saturday,
April 13th, 12:00 noon. Tickets are $7 and
I think its important to note here that Chief Robert
Olsons contract was approved in 2001 under the old
city council. Many of those council members who
approved that contract in 2001 against the wishes of
many Minneapolis citizens are still on the council
today.

West Phillips in the ward in their entirety. East
Phillips and Midtown are in the 9th ward in their
