It is time to stop the negativity. I believe the Mpls Park Board
needs to move on. A strategic planning activity as suggested by Ken
Bradley would do a lot more for our residents than continuing the negative
comments and accusations.

members of the forum will return to a reasonable discussion.
Both sides deserve criticism. The process failed. All the forum has
accomplished is to produce more factionalism on the board with their one sided
criticism.

I feel obligated to respond toChris Johnson, Scott Vreeland, and Mary
Belfry.Yes I do have access to information. I read articles in
the paper. The statements about Vivian Mason are from comments of other
commissioners and from Doug Grow's article in the paper. I have looked in
the Mpls
over the process. I hope the President and
Vice President of the Park Board will calm the factionalism on the Board. Personal
attacks and innuendoes against the Superintendent are inappropriate and taint the
process.

I never knew the other candidates had masters. Where is Chris getting his

I agree with Commissioners Young and Erwin. We should allow the interview

review how well the Commissioners did their process.

and Mason should not be a part of this Park

reasonable conclusion. I believe most of the rancor is actually
counterproductive.

After observing the Issues lists on parks, I think more than one voice should
be heard.
First, I disagree with Scott Vreeland. Scott has posted several statements
that I think are confusing. He call for more planning and vision. Then he
speaks against the new Superintendent Gurban's
Whoops. This is Tony Scallon, Howe Neighborhood.

Thanks to Tim Bonham and others to bring a little reason to the discussion of
the dangers of sub zero weather to close the warming houses.
The really interesting question is making the closing of warming houses in sub
zero weather a cause for a political campaign.
Can you see a piece of
park area such as
Powderhorn Park or Bossen Field? If this is the normal operating costs, we
should not count them as a loss.
Election years are often called the silly season. Candidates should be
debating real issues not just rhetorical statements.

Jason, I do not think you have responded. Here are my issues:
Will you have the School Patrol from the Park Police serve alternative and
charter schools? Why do the schools with the poorest students needing the most
service often get the least amount of park services both police and
on the tax rolls in 2009. I think the NRP on the
whole has done a lot for neighborhoods. I still believe the investment is
worthwhile. Yet there is a price to pay. Please correct me if my numbers are
wrong. It has been a while since I reviewed these numbers.

I think the first point of ethics Jason Stone and Scott Vreeland should
recommend is
to respond to all constituents even those they dislike or disagree with.
I am a constituent of the 5th park district. My schools ( MTS) are in the 3rd
Park District. Scott ignores my school. Jason refuses to
and the
Park Board need to be positive in the application. MTS currently contracts
with the part time police to provide some service. The 3rd precinct response
time is fairly good.

This is a tiny bit unfair. Tony Scallon had been griping about the loss
of Parade Stadium since the day the public realized that it was
happening. Loudly and longly did he rant and rave. He also makes no

this
provided a depth of knowledge I needed to research the issues.

This call is from the unions and not Marie's campaign. The local professional
