I installed a MP/DP in my DMZ recently (in an untrusted domain) in my SCCM 2012

That could be doable, is there a way to write a custom status message to the
system? Then we could have a script that runs at the end of the task sequence
to send that status message. Then have a status filter rule to run a script
that removes the mac address from the that client's record. Th
What about AD?
When you re-use the usb nic on another computer, the new computer account
overwrites the old one in AD also.
I noticed this during MBAM rollout, that’s why we just buy a usb nic for all
tablets. Then user has a backup connection if at an office without wireless.

Create a status message filter to delete the MACs of the USB adapters from

I have fixed this by:
Create a collection for newly added devices based on creation date
Create a program to force a discovery cycle and advertised it to always re-run
on a schedule which is more frequent than the build time
Create client settings against this collection to force a hardware inven
We have the ThinkPad Yoga and just wait for HINV to update the record. We are
not rolling many of these though, so it's a workable solution for us.
We deploy to unknown machines, so if we need to build them more rapidly, we
just delete the record from the console.

We are using Latitude 10, Venue11 and XPS12 but nothing creative here - we just
order a usb nic for each tablet at purchase and then the usb nic stays with the
device it imaged.

Our current foolproof workaround for this issue is to have our procurement

Has anyone come up with a practical solution for imaging devices that don't
have built in Ethernet adapters? The problem with using USB>Ethernet adapters
is that the mac address of that adapter will be tied to the device that was

Hi,
OKay I found the solution, for Office updates, you need to find the uninstall
string from the registry:
Browse to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\, and
then search for the KB number of the update you need to remove. Once found,
look at the Uninstal
In this case though, I think he wants to still be able to install Acrobat in
the environment.
Is this uninstall of Acrobat initiated by IT staff (planned), or by users
(unplanned)? Is it done via Programs and Features, or via Software Center?

Hello Trevor,
Thank you for your reply and for the link.
However, in my case all my workstations are x64 systems ( we don`t use x86)
I used SCCM 2012 R2 to deploy all Office updates.
Now... if you try to uninstall a KB using the simplest command:
C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:285
