That’s not actually correct. CMG uses an A4 VM in IaaS. The main reason to use a CMG is pure simplicity and maintenance as you don’t have to maintain that VM at all. Not sure what roles and functionalities that you’d want above what a CMG offers. J From: listsad...@lists.myitforum.com [mailto:

So its resolved. The tech played with some WMI resourse allocation settings; no change Then we checked the DB with DBCC Showcontig – there was a lot of fragmentation. Given the system had been used in anger for a week, I was surprised, but yea, reindexing seems to have fixed it. S. From: listsa

Exactly. When has any made an actual good installation? Just heard Michael (Ignite) saying how much effort they put into a good installation. I’d like to see a good installation from any vendor, from a corp. point of view. From: listsad...@lists.myitforum.com [mailto:listsad...@lists.myit

The users don’t care about the how, as long as they have the apps, data and settings… (at least most of them) Since it’s a refresh, USMT takes care of the data and the apps install anyway (again) during OSD (implemented like that). And with Office, you may need LPs (Win 10 also) and then you

Hi Vasu, I can’t speak to the costs of the CMG/CDP setup as I never look at the bill. But the CMG/CDP are not actual Azure VMs, they are just blobs, so the CMG/CDP combo will be cheaper due to no charges for the VM. It’s just storage and bandwidth. From: listsad...@lists.myitforum.com [mailt

I can't speak for everyone but I would believe most people are doing 'wipe and loads.' I think everyone's eventual goal is to get to that MDM/Co-Management state and start utilizing Auto-Pilot on stock devices straight from the vendor. How quickly you can get there, though, depends on business ne

Using a mix of both here with an upgrade to Office 2016 during the in-place. Our end users and help desk love the in-place upgrade from 7 to 10, basically an hour or two later and it’s running Win 10 just the way they had it setup when it was Win 7. If it applies, you might be shaving time with
