Yes, you create a WinRE recovery partition on use the built in system image backup to create a .vhd of the system drive. Are you using bitlocker? If I recall correctly enabling BDE disables WinRE in Win7 so you have to script to re-enable it during the deployment TS. Let me see if I can dig up a sample TS.Xml and the WinRE script. yes. make prestaged media. shrink the existing partition create a new partition hide it copy prestaged media to it some other tricky stuff to be able to boot to it. I was able to reimage a machine in under 7 minutes doing that. Prestage media needs a MP/DP etc. They don't have that available at that time.
