If the PC that is failing PXE is indeed in a collection to which the task
sequence is deployed, you might want to double check to make sure there are
not duplicate records for that machine in ConfigMgr. I've been in
environments where a duplicate record is created and the machine I think is

Removing PXE from the DP will remove the WDS role from the server.

Are Chrome and Evince packages or applications in ConfigMgr? The answer
determines which log files to look at on the client - packages look at
execmgr.log, applications look at appdiscovery.log and appenforce.log.

I have an issue in CM07 with a task sequence failing. THe issue is with
refresh scenarios. A large number of the PCs are starting the TS in
Windows, then starting the reboot to Windows PE. After the reboot, the
PC's disk is failed and the task sequence does not continue. It does not
even try
My time was limited yesterday, but to answer your questions. . .
* I eliminated an unnecessary USMT group in the task sequence. It was
using hard linking and I wanted to make sure that process was not causing
issues.
* Only one mode of PC was tested (old COmpaq DC 5750)

I can't provide any help other than the fact that I see this in an
environment I migrated as well. If anyone has insight or suggestions, I
would also be grateful!

My task sequence logs seem to be quite large and are rolling/overwriting.
This prevents me from seeing the entire scope of the task sequence in the
logs. So, I changed the client installation properties to include
CCMLOGMAXSIZE = 5242880 and CCMLOGMAXHISTORY = 2.
The history is now correct, but
