Re: Amiga monitor on MSX TR GT
Hi! Hey ... Do you know National Semiconductor's LM1881 ? It's a cute piece of silicon that does the job of slice the composite sync into Hsync and Vsync in TTL levels ... Nice don't it ? Better yet ... It's a simple 8-like-an-opamp package making it's live into small devices ... (I'm sure ya will love the idea ) =) Obviously, I dont know nothing about that engine. ^_- Now a advice from our sponsors : We need more creative people on MSX We need more creative hardware designers !!! We need new programs Ehem! Please, stay tuned at the Matra site: http://matra.cjb.net Updated MADRISX 99: CARNAGE IN OK CORRALES Coming soon luxurious info about SEX BOMB BUNNY COIN-OP VERSION. Re: How to set SCREEN 12?
Set register 0 with 1110b and register 25 with 1000b The second part is correct, the first part also but it can also be done by simply going to screen 8. ok, but setting screen 8 is slower :) It will make much other nessacary settings. new BIOS-call. And since the v9958 is standarized, it will always be (upwards) compatible. So Basic simply does this to go to screen 8: SCREEN 8 VDP(25)=8 Is VDP(25) = R#25? Or would we have to say VDP(26) = R#25? I'm not sure at this point The last one. Slight glitch from my side... (haven't programmed the VDP from Basic for a while :)) I meant the REAL register 25. ~Grauw -- email me: [EMAIL PROTECTED] or ICQ: 10196372 visit the Datax homepage at http://datax.cjb.net/ MSX fair Bussum / MSX Marathon homepage: http://msxfair.cjb.net/ MSX Mailinglist. RE: Amiga monitor on MSX
Ok, I have had a look on the cable of my 1084S monitor. By the way: The monitor runs fine on CGA and EGA computers. (If someone still has something like that!) Look at following diagram: (I have a SCART connector on it, but you should be able to connect it to a Turbo R) 9 pin D connector: Description:SCART: TTL RGB Analog RGB 1 gnd gnd 2 gnd gnd 3 red red 15 4 green green 11 5 blueblue7 6 Intensity Not used 7 not usedComposit Sync. 19 8 H. Sync.H. Sync. 9 V. Sync.V. Sync. Audio Left 3 Audio Right 1 The audio signals I have connected to two Tulip plugs with two small cables so the MSX sound comes through the monitor. My 8250 SCART plug is modified a bit so the sound comes from a FMPAK in Stereo! So all the fuzz about seperate syncs is out of the way now: the monitor has a seperate composite Synchrinisation input! All the best wishes for Christmas and a good New Year and keep those MSX's up and running! (I will do whith my 3 MSX's!) HANS-PETER ZEEDIJK (HAPZEE) PS can somebody help me with an unwilling floppydrive in my Turbo R? (sometimes it has troubles spinning the disks, resulting in read problems) MSX Mailinglist. Ancient Ys 1 Vanished Omen
Yo! I'm playing this game at the moment, and I'm quite near the end, but now I'm stuck. The last thing I did was free the girl (again), and afterwards talk to the guy who tells me something about the 5th book and gives me a blue amulet. Then I go all the way up, and voila, I stand in front of the Big Boss (a very scary man). He is in some kind of 'boxing ring', and if the battle begins, 'flame-comets' start falling out of the sky, and when I attack him a piece of floor falls away. So far so good, but everytime I hit him his life only decreases a tiny little bit. I remember something about that he can only be hurt using a weapon made of 'caerial' (or something like that). I have a flame-sword now, but I don't think that's the weapon, because it's still too weak. So now my question: what to do now??? ~Grauw "pleeeaaae???" -- email me: [EMAIL PROTECTED] or ICQ: 10196372 visit the Datax homepage at http://datax.cjb.net/ MSX fair Bussum / MSX Marathon homepage: http://msxfair.cjb.net/ MSX Mailinglist.
