Leandro and Slot,

They use just the PSG... (:

OH! I though was FM! So quality is high, very compliments!

FM rountines I have are for MSXDOS2, but they are a rewritten version of those
for MSXDOS1 (mapper.mrc, I suppose).
I'll serch for them and let you know!

Thank you, regards,
Enrico

[MSX] Meridian 3.0 progress update

2003-06-20 Thread michiel ellen de vries
Hi all,

Some of you will think: After the fair in Tilburg, I've nothing
heard about the new version of Meridian 3.0. Has the development
of Meridian been stopped?

NO, of course not. At the moment I'm very busy programming on
Meridian and I think it would be a good thing to release a full
version when all of the most irritating bugs have been fixed.

That means that the next release of a full version could last
some months. For most of you people, that is too long. So I offer
the possibily to put a new BETA version on the site.
Problem is that it's not bugfree version, but it is very useable
to play Standard MIDI files on FM and PCM (wave).

What's your opinion?
1) I'll wait for the full version, no matter how long to wait
2) Publish the most recent BETA version on the Meridian download site, pleez.

I look forward to your reactions.

Gtx,
Michiel

Release early, release often - option 2 please! :-)

Hello Enrico,

I belive that we have one that works with MSX-DOS 1 but i don't know for
sure.
I think Raymond is reading this so my question to him is can you verify if
it is a DOS 1routine?

Hi MSX Friends,

I'm making a videogame for MSX2/2+ with MSXPad (Turbo Pascal 3) and I'd
like to
know if there are libraries to manage MBM music.
I've found those of Kari Lammassaari, but they require MSX-DOS 2 and
strange
errors appears when I compile program.

Where I could find MBM libraries for MSXDOS 1 and working with MSXPad?

I've seen Breakfree promo, made by Slotman, and if I remember well I heard
some
music, so libraries exist but are not included in MSXPad package...

Thank you, regards,
Enrico

I second that :).

There's no harm in beta-releases to keep us satisfied :). Also, people will
(probably) give feedback which is both encouraging for you and they might
point you to some bugs you wouldn't have found yourself.

Thank you very very much!

And if this is useful to you, this is what Kari says in help files:

-
{mplayer.txt - the document for mbplyer.inc }
Turbo Pascal moonblaster dos player routines by Kari Lammassaari 1997.
The source of mbplayer.mpc needed by this source is originally written
by REMCO SCHRIJVER and later improvements are from Maarten ter Huurne alias
 KRYTEN/MAYHEM .
The modifications I made, were msxdos2 support, better OPLL search (from
library of MsxHandbook), mapper support routines and adaptation to operate
 under DOS.
REM !!! The MBPLAYER.MPC (MPC = MapperPageCode) is essential for the operation
of mbplayer.inc. This code is loaded to alocated mapper page and contains the
music interrupt, loader and init code for player code. It's a separate file
to save the program memory for other purposes.
MAPPER.INC requires MSXDOS2, beacuse it uses EXTBIO hook at #ffca .
-

This libraries can be found in Funet archive.

Thank you, regards,
Enrico
