Use a BIOS routine (check any ML-book with a BIOS-table or something) and use
MSXBIOS.LIB from my homepage. (I'm quite sure there is one to do this)

Hey, there is one thing, that I have forgotted to ask...

Does any of you have info, how to read SVI type graphic tablets ???
I have SVI-105 Graphic tablet, but I don't have any code for reading.
I know, that Kari Lammassaari made some library for that purpose, but he
managed to lose it and all other info, so I could not test is on MSX.
I would like to write a proggram, that converts this SVI type data to
MSX type data. If I'm right hardware changes are not neccessary.

Dear NYYRIKKI,
The Spectravideo Graphic Tablet can be rewired so it works the same like the
Phillips Graphic Tablet. I know that it works, because I have one of my
own. I don't know if I have any documentation, but if not I will open the
tablet and find out. I am not at home now but I will try to help you as soon
as possible.

Hi MSX ppl !

I recently bought a philips mousepad (or power-cat (a flat

with a pencil, or what ever its name is !?!) for my MSX.

Now the thing I want to know is, can I use this thing with
art-programms
like: DD-Graph (AGE5), G-Saurus or AGE7/8 !?

Nope

I tried, but it just won't work correctly. Are there any extended
program=
ms
wich I have to use with those art-programms !? TSR or so !

I think the VIDEO GRAPHICS program from PHILIPS does support the graphic
Tablet

Re: How can i..... Graphic Tablet

There was a TSR published in the MCM which lets you assign keystrokes to
a defined matrix on the tablet

Arno

Hmm, that would be nice. I also made a prog which let the graphic tablet
reacts like a keyboard, but it was just an experiment in pure basic. I even
made a overlaypaper with the characters so you'd know where to press. It
works quite well, and is easy to make.
Since all MCCM disks are on the Millennium CD-ROMs, can you give me a clue
on which disk I have to search?

Thanx in advance,

Randy

Bad luck... I also own such a graphic tablet (official name, i guess)
 and
it's only usable in a small number of programs, like videographics,
 designer
(plus) and perhaps something else.. However, it's VERY easy to use the
tablet in your own programs: just look in any MSX-BASIC manual for the
function PAD(). I don't think there'll be any change for a TSR that
 converts
the data from the tablet as where it coming from a normal mouse, thus
 using
your tablet in any application that uses a mouse. But, when a program
 uses a
mouse-driver, it might be possible to re-write the driver.

Last resort: mail the makers of the AGE, and ask if he can reprogram
 the
 program for the tablet...
