Re: [MSX] Portable Msx2 U1PRO01Ai ?

2011-01-03 Thread Laurens Holst
If you take away enough, everything will be MSX-based, as half of the
systems out there at the time had either a Z80, PSG or VDP in them :).

Anyway, I suppose you could check out a BIOS dump if you could get your
hands on one, if it’s really closely related to MSX then it should have
a similar BIOS.

Hello folks,

This page lists a portable MSX2:

http://msxfr.chez.com/marques.html

Panasonic/Matshushita (Japan)
Portable Msx2 U1PRO01Ai : Ce portable Msx2 vendu uniquement au Japon
dès 1989.

Is that right ? It doesn't seem to be an MSX2:

Wishful thinking... Some (young/naive) people used to think anything
that looked like a computer and had Panasonic on it was a MSX.

It sure was fun fantasizing about it, though :)

Re: [MSX] Portable Msx2 U1PRO01Ai ?

2010-12-28 Thread Jun Kim

It's really just Wapuro (Word Processor) with printer , FDD and LCD monitor.
but no MSX Slots .. but when it turns on, of course, it doesn't start booting
MSX-DOS.
Just run directly Wapuro software to be ready for text and print anywhere.

PS : I saw its announcement on MSX FAN magazine.
