NEW MASTER in TRANSLATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LILLE III

Beginning October 2004, the LEA department (Langues Étrangères Appliquées) at
the Université Charles-de-Gaulle Lille III will be offering a Master in

The Master is a two-year course which trains students to become translators,
with an emphasis on computer-assisted translation (target language French). The
course also offers an extensive module on project management. The seminars
(especially those in the second year) are taught by professional translators
and project managers, and the students are required to do a two-month
internship in the first year and a five-month internship in the second.

The MA programme takes two years, but students can also register for the second
