Are you replying to an encrypted mail? Then the pass phrase is
most likely still cached. See the fine manual, look for

searched the mailing list, and didn't see anything quite like this. Maybe
someone can tell what's happening.
I'm running MUTT 1.5.23 on OpenBSD 5.8. The only patch is the trash folder
